Yesterday in Economics times astonishing news flashed on the most awaiting cheapest Tab to launch in India for students. HRD Minister Kapil Sibal is going to launch the cheapest Tab on October 5. This low cost device is going to hit the market by HCL. After so many delays the 3G Android Tab is going to be clutched by everyone at last. Now this Tab will reach the students from primary schools to universities on October 5 according to Kapil Sibal.

The Tab has fully touchscreen with built-in keyboards. It’s going to fire up the whole country as its going to support Android OS. But the version is not yet revealed. Along with the keyboard the device will hold 2GB RAM memory and looking the power condition of India the Tab will be powered by 2 Watt system. I would say it’s awesome to take home. You can afford this Tab at a price of $35 and take away any one inch as it comes with 5/7/9 inch screen. Connectivity is through WiFi but can’t tell about Bluetooth. It has the ability to read PDFs and supports video calling facilities too. Play songs and enjoy videos in Media player. The Tab has remote device management capability and has multiple content viewer. Other than it has Open office, sci-lab and internet browsing.

Sibal said the cost of the motherboard, chip, processing and other components cost a total of around 35 dollars but the government may subsidise 50 percent of the price for students.

Sibal said the government, which hopes the cost of the device can eventually fall to 10 dollars, is in discussions with global manufacturers to start mass production of the device.

India, whose 63 percent literacy rate lags far behind many other developing nations, such as China with 94 percent, is making efforts to improve its troubled education system, which lacks investment in schools and teachers.

Samsung India looking to sell 1 Lakh Galaxy Note devices in next 55 days (2011)

Friends here there is news from Samsung Galaxy Team, it is aiming to sell their galaxy notes in INDIA about 1lakh Units in 2011 i.e., in next 55 days, i think really they can reach their targets becoz it is really one of the biggest Hit Product

Samsung is aiming to sell one lakh Galaxy Note devices in India by the end of this year. I would say that is a pretty steep target for a device priced at INR 34,999 and is huge as per smartphone standards.


Samsung India launched its smartphone/tablet hybrid Galaxy Note in India day before yesterday at a press event in Delhi, and Ranjit Yadav, head of Samsung Mobile in India stated at this event that his company is looking to sell 100,000 units of the device in next 55 odd days. This is not the only target company has to achieve in 2011. Samsung is also looking to upstage Nokia to become top smartphone vendor in the country.


Samsung is targeting 40 pc of the Indian smartphone market share by the end of this year. In terms of smartphones, this Korean giant sells its Android powered Galaxy series smartphones, and Bada phones in the country. Both kinds of devices have been liked by the consumers in India and with its growing smartphone portfolio, company might be able to take the top spot, but chances selling 100,000 Galaxy Note devices still look bleak to me.

Finally Microsoft has incorporated a new feature in the latest build (7057) of Windows 7 which supports the end user to change the logon screen background without using any hacks or third-party tools.

Follow the procedure below to change the Windows 7 logon screen.

1. Download the registry file from here. Extract the file and double-click on the file to enable this feature (Alternative method: right-click, select Merge).

2. Now, head over to the following folder:
C:\Windows\System32\oobe (“C” is your Windows Seven Installation drive)

3. Here, create a new folder named Info. Again, create a new folder inside the Info folder and rename it as backgrounds.

4. Copy your favorite image file to this folder and rename it as backgroundDefault. Note that the image must be in JPG format and the size should be less than 256 KB.

5. You are done. Reboot your system and see the change.
